Seasons of life

Life is always changing for sure and it seems like it is speeding up as well...except for lately. My husband has been in flight training since before we got married and that has been a long process but the good news is that he is now a commercial pilot and just got a job as a regional airline pilot....in Alaska! We live in Washington state and he is now commuting up to Dillingham, AK to work for two weeks at a time and then he gets to come home for a couple weeks. The time that he is home is great and we get to hang out as a family and enjoy each other, but he just left again yesterday for another two week stay and it seems like I am counting down the minutes of the day. While he was home we took Elijah for his first flight!!!
We all have those sacrifices whether for schooling, military or a job. These are all part of the seasons we go through in life and I guess its important to enjoy the process and know that this too shall pass. I find myself always so anxious to get through a certain phase but there is always something else around the corner. I couldn't wait for flight training to end and to move on with our lives, but now Cameron is up in Alaska and away from us which is hard. I am going to choose to enjoy every minute that he is home and thankful for this wonderful opportunity instead of just waiting for the schedule to change etc. and I am so thankful for memories such as this one-flying as a family!

The Journey Begins

For me the journey began when I was googling some strange symptons I was having one day and realized the same answer kept coming up...I was pregnant. After we were two for two on the pregnancy tests of course my mind started to whirl and from then on I have been mulling over exactly what it means for me to be a mother.
